Jim Heson   A Jim Henson Tribute  Jim and Kermit sitting

The magic of Jim Henson touched the hearts of the world, and love continues to impact all of us who knew him or of him each and everyday.  Mr. Henson, we all we miss you; and may we have the courage to follow our dreams and never give up.  Jim Henson and all his Muppets meant alot to me and many others. He reached across generations to young and old alike.  Each of us was bound together through his work.  He was able to break through barriers of color, politics, religion, and race.

Many will remember the day he died.  It was May 16th, 1990 at 1:21 AM.  Due to a severe case of bacterial pneumonia, the friend behind the Muppets died.  Jim Henson was only Fifty-three.  It was a really sad day for all.

There are two of the many Muppet memories that will stand out in my memory.  The first was the day when Big Bird explained to us that Mr. Hooper has died and will not be coming back.  The second was when the Muppets said their good-byes to their creator.  Then Kermit's nephew and Scooter began to sing, "If just one person believes in you, long enough and strong enough believes in you..."  Kermit the Frog had entered at the very end of the Muppets farewell to Jim Henson.
