Cinderella

In the world in which we live, there are few movies that captured my childhood reality like Cinderella. I have always felt an attraction to this movie because I feel a kinship with the main character. She embraces life and dreams of the chance of a brighter future while attempting to make her step-sisters "beautiful", or other servant tasks in her own home.

I think that we should all attempt to bring hope in the darkest of areas. It is this hope for tomorrow that as a youth made me say, someday I will have the chance to be who I want to be. Someday the fairy-godmother will come and turn me into a "princess" or at least turns me into that person that I see inside.

I spent and my whole teenage life hanging onto the dream of that guy/prince, walking across the campus just to meet me. Not the class president, not miss popular, not a girl from the pep or cheer squad, But miss invisible. And then sweep me off my feet, into "happily ever after."

Ok, this isn't the 1800's, or 1950's. Although the thought and idea is still alive and that brings me happiness. And for all you who feel you are a hopeless dreamer a hope brighter than reality is on the verge of a new tomorrow, that is brighter than an endless tunnel of life.
